12 Days of Spacemaking: Day 12

December 24, 2021 Spatial Medium

(noun)

- the quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness

Friends. We have covered a lot of ground in the last 12 days, from creating boundaries to infusing play in our spaces and more!

There is just one more bit...

Gratitude.

As you may be able to tell, I have the habit of falling in love with the spaces I create.

Spacemaking is a very connected and personal thing for me and I can become...smitten. In the past few years I've realized that it's not the physical container I adore, it's the version of me (or my client) that is expressed in the space.

Creating and nourishing space takes effort whether it be shifting your home office environment, understanding relationship nuances, or navigating local community dynamics. It's not easy to recognize, acknowledge, and make room for shifting needs or dreams. It's vulnerable business.

The spaces we create and nourish will witness the good and the bad. Striving for and reaching our goals...struggling and bargaining with failure...nursing broken hearts and physical ailments...celebrating first loves and dear friends/family.

However...

The spaces we create and nourish will support us in our journey of becoming, well, us.

Even through the potential mess and confusion, that is a beautiful thing.

So, on this last day of our spacemaking journey, I'd like to send you out in the world with gratitude for yourself and the spaces you create and nourish in the world. Because you do this every day. Every. Single. Day.

Please take a minute to acknowledge and thank yourself.

You're doing great.

A SINCERE THANK YOU

I want to express my gratitude for your interest and participation in this little offering. Over the course of the last 12 days, I have heard from many of you about your takeaways and experiences with these posts and each one has been a gift!

If you have been struggling with keeping up with the emails, please do not fret. There is/was no timeframe. They are yours to return to and access as you are able.

I wish you and yours a spacious holiday season, whether you are at the end of it, smack in the middle, or looking towards an upcoming celebration - much love, from me to you!

This wraps Day 12...thank you for taking time to explore spacemaking from a place of gratitude!

If you feel inspired to share any takeaways, examples in your own home, or questions that came up for you, please access any Spatial Medium social media account. Please be sure to add #12daysofspacemaking and tag @spatialmedium so I can see what you post.
